whyyyyyyyy

i would be embarrassed? like wtf i would not want harry styles knowing i had a book about him and in the book he is fucking crazy and abusive

Sign the petiton against the movie here

It should be noted that the petition isn’t because it’s just fucking embarrassing or anything like that.

After is not a love story. It’s the tale of a girl who is physically, mentally, and emotionally abused by a misogynistic boy, who everyone, and by that I mean EVERYONE, will see as Harry Styles. Whether or not the name is changed, everyone will know who its originally about, and we can’t have him portrayed as that. Anna Todd is a lying, scheming woman trying to make money off of young, innocent fans, and its working. Teen girls see this relationship as healthy, and want something like this for their future.”

sign this, spread the word.

I don't get why taylor would say that coming online to stalk us makes her feel normal??? A bunch of people worshipping her????

screamingiminlovewithyou answered:

I think the reason she feels like that is because she can come on here and be connected with the people who are there for her. We’ve kind of been the side of the fandom that’s been on the back burner for a while. When she goes outside she sees cameras at her and people asking for pictures. But when she comes on here she sees the people who care about her. She gets to see the impact that she has on real people’s lives. She gets to come on here and laugh and be silly with a group of people who are unlike the rest (by that I mean nuts). Her life is a bunch of abnormal circumstances, which she asked for in wanting to be a singer. But she knows those are the conditions for having the career she wants. You see, her being on here is actually amazing. She’s getting to know these people who adore her. She gets to see how much better she makes our lives. I don’t think it’s some kind of egotistical thing where she takes pride out of people “worshipping” her. She just sees what we post about our lives. She sees beyond what she gets asked in interviews, or at award shows. A lot of us have been here for years and years, some less but that’s ok, and she’s changed all of our lives for the best. Obviously it’s slim for her to be able to meet everyone on here, but it’s probably really amazing for her to see what’s going on in our lives. She sees how our day was or what friends we have. She gets to read about our struggles and triumphs and not be so secluded from the media. This was a terrifying place a year ago and I’m so glad she wasn’t on here then. But I couldn’t be happier to have her on here. I’ll admit that it was scary at first because…it’s tswift…..but it’s turned out to be the most wonderful thing. Sorry this is so long. I talk a lot.

I’m realistic about the fact that millions of people don’t have time in their day to maintain a complex profile of who I am. They’re busy with their work and their kids and their husband or their boyfriend and their friends. They only have time to come up with about two or three adjectives to describe people in the public eye. And that’s okay. As long as those three adjectives aren’t ‘train wreck, mess, terrible.’ I figure eventually, if you hang around long enough, people will see all sides of you.

The Esquire magazine feature is one of my favorite interviews so far. I highly recommend you pick it up.

You’re going to have people who are going to say ‘Oh, you know like, she just writes songs about her ex-boyfriends’ and I think frankly that’s a very sexist angle to take. No one says that about Ed Sheeran. No one says it about Bruno Mars. They’re all writing songs about their exes, their current girlfriends, their love-life, and no one raises a red flag there.
